Rifle functions perfect and smooth with the ammo I had on hand, Federal XM193 & XM855, Also tracer XM856. Spike’s Mil-spec buffer spring worked fine, but I went ahead and ordered a Springco “red” extra power spring as I use an AAC suppressor. My issue wasn't with the Piston kit at all, I realized I was using an under power buffer spring (an old one at that). I had originally inquired about a replacement stainless barrel nut, as the piston was causing damage to the Seekins 7075 aluminum nut via impact. With a cut down front sight gas block, stayed with pinned recommended by Osprey, the unit fits perfect under the rail.
I had to purchase a special OP-ROD from Osprey to fit with the Seekins barrel nut, they keep them in stock as the rail is listed on their site for fitment. Deltaleader- I have the 12" Spikes BAR rail (Seekins Made), Noveski 10.5" barrel, and Osprey Defense OPS-416 Carbine Piston kit.
